I love the references that help us understand your process to writing these. I do agree although it seems exciting to be somewhere else, there were some concerning things I saw that reminded me it is a fairly new-ishhh space with lots of work to be done. Hopefully they gain more assistance, listen to the feedback and see what makes sense to apply.
Yes, this is why I quickly deleted my status on Fet that appeared to be an endorsement and continued to encourage people to browse, research, and get acclimated to the site. Do your vetting like you would a partner.
Black Throb is not my site, but from the site announcements sent before it shut down for updates, it appeared to be an inclusive space for all with the exception of the specific kinks and fetishizers identified in the site guidelines.
Firstly, thank you for your work in our corner of the internet 🫂🫂. After reading through the article, I just wanna say you CAN choose who sees parts of your profile in the Privacy tab, in the settings section, including the birthday. Each part of the profile has its own box. So there's also one for photos, for example. (Reacting to the "no option to change" part).
I definitely think it would be nice if we could be brought to that privacy settings option prior to finishing creating the profile, but most of those visibility features are useable.
What I'm not liking is I don't know how to control my feed at all. It's overstimulating for me. I'm seeing pictures of people I don't know, and frankly don't care about, and I have to navgate to find my friends. Still learning, but I think feed flexibility could use some improvement.
I have another half gripe, but those will have to be found in my crumbs on fetlife. Not bad overall, just new.
I appreciate the labor it took to do the work and then write it all out for us to read. Thanks for helping allowing make more informed decisions. 🫂

Are allied cishet white folks allowed? Not asking out of indignance. For information.
All genuine supports are welcomed.
I mean on Black Throb. :)

Great overall breakdown. I do agree that the UI is a bit busy, but so far loving the potential.
